Getting a new phone

Your Authenticator app is tied to your phone. Sort it before the old phone is reset, or you can be locked out of your work account.

If you still have the old phone

1. Install Microsoft Authenticator on the new phone.
2. On a computer, go to mysignins.microsoft.com/security-info and sign in, approving on the old phone.
3. Choose Add sign-in method, then Authenticator app, and scan the code with the new phone.
4. Remove the old phone from the list.
5. Only now reset the old phone.

If the old phone is gone

Message us. We will clear the old sign-in so you can set up the new phone.
